Re: i can't edit

YES IT WORK, LOOK!

Firts you must edit the file “\ wiki \ conf \ dokuwiki.php”: here we will change to your language, the page of beginning, the title, etc.

Code:

$conf [“lang”] = “en”; //your language
$conf [“to basedir”] = ''; //absolute to dir from serveroot - blank for autodetection
$conf [“baseurl”] = ''; //URL to server including protocol - blank for autodetect
$conf [“to savedir”] = “. /data”; //where to store all the you case out
$conf [“allowdebug”] = 1; //make debug possible, disable after install! 0|1/

* Display Options *

$conf [“start”] = “start”; //name of start page
$conf [“title”] = “DokuWiki”; //what to show in the title

Once fact this, to go to the eyelash wiki and to do login and to register like user “pedro” for example, the password will be sent by mail.

Soon will now to edit the file: “\ wiki \ conf \ users.auth.php”

One will notice that pedro appears like the user, then is due to copy password of user “pedro” in adminsitrator “juan”

Code:

#user: MD5password: Real Name: email: groups, comma, seperated
juan: 5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99: Pedro Ramirez: pedro@hotmail.com: admin
pedro: 5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99: pedro Ramirez: pedro@hotmail.com: user

Soon we do login like administrator: “juan" with password that was sent to him to “pedro” by mail and allows us to enter the administration and to publish, everything, permissions for example to the users single to read or also we can publish the pages. The password of the administrator is due to change in administration, left and returns to enter with the new password that there is to keep.

NOW YOU CAN SEE THE EDIT BUTTONS! and you can edit anything.

If they appear errors of cache when administering, one is due to go to hosting and by means of “it cases out to manager” to erase the folder cache completes, soon by means of the FTP to load the folder cache original.

maybe, also to create folders 0.1.2.3.4.5.6.8.9, to, b, c, d, and, f all these folders, the folder cache and all the archives including, must have permissions 777.

Re: i can't edit

@ hermes - thank you for your post.

To clarify a bit more, standard BLOG:CMS release shippes with acl.auth.php set so that ALL USERS group (guests) can only READ Wiki, but not edit it. To edit, you must register, and only then you can edit pages. Another exception is homepage (start page), which can be edited only by admins, not even by registered users.

If you want to change this behaviour, please change permissions in acl.auth.php

Your wellcome!

Well, i want only admin change, never users, but i think (i not sure), i can change the permissions in admin button.

Put the code "acl.auth.php" if you have time.

I tried that but it does not work. I could login as admin but can't edit my entries in 'Start' page. Why?

Re: i can't edit

nKannan:

Do this:

1.-Firts: register like a user “userKannan” for example, the password will be sent to you by mail. You do not do anything with this password, still.

2.-edit file: "users.auth.php” in \ wiki \ conf \

When you open users.auth.php:

See: userKannan appears like user, then copy "MD5password" of user “userKannan” (in blue, not the received one by email !) into administrator “adminKannan” (in red), NOTE - YOU MUST CREATE THIS LINE: "admin" COMPLETELY, and save.

this is an example:

#user: MD5password: Real Name: email: groups, comma, seperated
userKannan: 5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99 : Kannan Smith: Kannan@hotmail.com: user
adminKannan: 5f4dcc3b5aa765d61d8327deb882cf99 : Kannan Smith: Kannan@hotmail.com: admin

3.-Now you can entry and log in, like admin in your start page: user adminKannan and password (received one in your mail like "user")

4.-After, you can click admin button and set permissions.

understands to Me? smile

Re: i can't edit

I am sorry for replying to this after a long gap. Only now I got the time to test it again. It does not work. I could login as a 'user' (with email, password) sent and administrator but could not edit any item.

I don't follow what to do with acl.auth.php

The permissions are 777

Re: i can't edit

Yes, it works.
You must follow the steps above exactly indicated, prints the steps and do it.
In order to publish you must enter like admin, not like user.

If you want i can do for you, but you must give me the file "users.auth.php" (download this by ftp from you server) , and the user password to enter. Send me all by email for that.
