Re: BLOG:CMS Donald Trump Edition - how to upgrade
Thanks for your quick replies (as always), these suggestions seem very helpful. Will try after my holiday (will have to pack and last minute shop today).

no, you shall UNINSTALL all plugins, it takes about 5 minutes, and, believe me, coding that takes WAY MORE time
Anyway, for 3.4, I'm planning on automated upgrades, to save even those 5 minutes to BLOG:CMS users ![]()

Hi Nimbus4DM, no problem at all! In fact, I should NOT post the link to amazon, was too tired yesterday, frankly, sorry for that.
I'm happy that people like BLOG:CMS and use it.
Hope you enjoy it as well ![]()

Re: BLOG:CMS Donald Trump Edition - how to upgrade
Hello,
Thanks for the new version !
Do I really need to install "ALL" the plugins ?? before applying the sql patch and I suppose removing the unwanted plugins ???
Because I get an error with PDF :
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 5242880 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 11520 bytes) in /var/www/free.fr/5/1/bruno.vernay/blogcms/nucleus/plugins/pdf/fpdf.php on line 1460
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 5242880 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 0 bytes) in Unknown on line 0
I don't care, because I won't use PDF, but you put "ALL" in big, so I wonder, are they all needed ???
By the way, when an error message is displayed in the top of the "plugin management" page, the end of the page isn't accessible !! It doesn't scroll to the end !
Thanks
Bruno

Re: BLOG:CMS Donald Trump Edition - how to upgrade
OK, it works,
I was about to post some problems I have with 3.3.3, but I saw a new version 3.4.0 ... So I will upgrade and see.
Still :
- is the light edition dead ??
- The changelog http://blogcms.com/item/changelog could be in reverse chronological order and the date could be formated as dd/mm/aaaa or aaaa-mm-dd.
- There is a "version history" http://blogcms.com/nucleus/documentation/history.html accessible from the "main index" documentation (http://blogcms.com/nucleus/documentation/index.html) that is really history !
- I fear there could be a fork between thoses who use free providers with poor configuration access on the server MySQL & PHP and thoses who can get the most from their server by installing recent version and configuring it at best ...
Thanks
Bruno
